Year 5 Georgina Varney North America
On Wednesday 31st January Year 5 were visited by Georgina Varney. She used maps to locate the continent of North America and then focused on the United States of America. She explained that immigration from all around the world to America impacted on the native tribes who lived there. The children learnt about the Trail of Tears whereby Native American people were removed from their homelands. The children were fascinated by the history of America.
