On a surprisingly sunny day in October, Roberts travelled to Peters Hill Primary School for a cup match. Peters Hill started off well with a number of attempts at our goal. Roberts defended extremely well and soon had the ball down in Peters Hill's half for their own attempts at goal. First goal to Roberts after just 10 minutes of play.
One attempt at goal by Peters Hill that went over and Roberts set the ball up for a very close goal. 2-0 to Roberts. A few minutes later and Roberts were in their half again making it 3-0. A free kick was then awarded to Peters Hill but no goal. Two substitutions and some very impressive ball control from Roberts. 30 seconds before half time and our luck ran out. A nice save by our goalie but the ball still tipped into the net. 3-1.
More attacking from both us and Peters Hill as soon as the second half started but fantastic player from both teams meant no goals. A free kick to them and it was 3-2.
With what can only be described as a very intensive final part of the match, with 60 seconds to go Peters Hill managed to score not just 1 but 2 goals.
Well done to both teams. A final score of 5-3 to Peters Hill.
